I have an Acer Aspire M3100 running Windows Vista Home Premium. I am NOT networked. This is a stand-alone PC. Problem: Some how my account status changed from Administrator to 'Standard' user. When I try to make ANY changes, the 'user account control' pops up, asks me to 'type in the Administrator password', but the area to type the password does not allow entry. This also happens when I try to turn the UAC off. Will I need to restore, or can is there a back way to set me backup as an Administrator? Thank you.
