UAC - apply admin rights for shortcut
Hello, found no smart solution for my problem. I am logged in as Admin in my Win7 system. I have a Visual Studio 2008 solution which i created as admin. To this .sln, i created a shortcut to desktop. When starting the solution and debugging projects, i found that something is not working as expected. For instance, listing all processes. it seems to be related to rights inherited from solution. So i try to apply admin rights to my shortcut: Right click on shortcut, properties, advanced. Unfortunately, checkbox is disabled. I can't check "run as Administrator". Summary. i am logged in as Administrator and as such a person i created the solution. However, i am not able to run the solution as Administrator. Any help appreciated. (Thanks for great UAC, it makes my life so much more safe and simple).

create a shortcut to the devenv.exe (not to the sln) and pass the sln to the VS. This shortcut should allow you to check "run as Administrator"."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
