when i join a Win7 i will be asked if its home, work, or public is is these are network profiles ? and is it possible to make my own profile ? and if yes how to setup its firewall rules as it have only settings for home, work and public.Ammar S. Mitoori

These profiles define your firewall settings and your share visibility. You can't actually create your own profile, but you can choose the one that most closely resembles your situation, and modify firewall and sharing settings manually.
