First problem is also an ongoing one: Nvidia beta driver. While I had a few hangs before it's becoming more and more persistent as I slowly re-engineer my XP habits, programs, surfing, etc. I will post a message to Nvidia to see if they are working on a more stable driver because this morning.... I had my first BSOD which gave me only a few seconds to scan before rebooting. Upon reaching the desktop I found it gone. No shortcuts would work, and even the log file generated for my review was inacessible. The offending app was Media Center, which I have used before and was just checking out. Very simplistic, but like everything so far it's pretty easy on the eyes at least. I went back to the last restore point, and after a few minutes (just enough time to make coffee and light a smoke) all was well again. So really, my blood pressure raised itself minimally. Still, I'll be backing up VERY shortly.
