Two Win 7s & an XP
I have a home network, consisting of two PC running Win 7 build 7100, and one running XP. All belong to the MSHOME workgroup. As far as I can tell, the permissions are exactly the same on both Win 7 machines. At this time, the first Win 7 PC can access files on both the XP and the second Win 7 PC. But the second Win 7 PC can 'see' both the other PCs, it can access files on the XP PC, but when I click on the first Win 7 PC I get the "you don't have permission" message. I have tried all sorts of adjustments, but to no avail. Any ideas?BTW, 'HOMEGROUP' is off on both Win 7 PCs.

I suggest that you first connect the windows 7 PCsusing Homegroup first. That should give you access to both windows 7 pc's. You will have to enter a generated password for your windows 7 PC'S. You should have full access without any restrictions once you have configured them using the homegroup option. You can try using the network option again once you have successfully networked your windows 7 pc. Let me know if this helps.

PS: also make sure both pc's are joined to the network. You may have to refresh the setting onone of the windows 7 PC's by running the troubleshooter.
