Two Internet Connections on Same computer
Hey
I have a computer running Windows 7 with 2 Network Adapters each with it's own network and Internet connection.
The problem is that Windows insists on using the slow connection for everything. Nothing I do can change it. I have changed the prefered order of networks, I have changed around the IP's, I have changed the name of the connections and I even tried switching
the adapters the networks use, but it still will not use anything other than the slow connection.
...Is it possible for me to pick the connection which should be used to access the Internet at all?

Both have internet access? Can you elaborate on why you have Windows connected to two networks? If you need access to two segments, but prefer to use the internet through one, you could use a static IP on one of the segments with NO Gateway.
This way, all traffic that is bound to the internet will always leave from the same adapter.
Have you also tried to modify the ROUTING TABLE on the local computer? You could make adjustments if needed. To take a look at the current routing table, open a command prompt, type ROUTE PRINT and hit the enter key.

I'm not familiar with the routing table so I don't know how to modify that. I will be trying to figure that out, but if you have some more info to share on that I would be very grateful.
And yes. Both my networks have an Internet connection. I have two different networks in my house, one used by the majority of family members and the other used by me for downloading/uploading and a few other things which require a lot of bandwidth. In the
middle of these two networks is the computer I'm talking about. It serves as a file/backup server for both networks at the same time, so this is why I have two networks on it, both with different Internet connections.
Ideally I would like this computer to use the fast connection for heavy applications and the slow one for other tasks, but I've given up on this idea. I would be more than happy just being able to tell it to use one connection over the other.
I have also tried blocking the computer from accessing the internet on the router, but some applications still insist on using the connection and then wont connect to the internet at all, it also slowed down web browsing a lot.
I have also tried setting a static IP without a Gateway, but Windows seem to really dislike this and I'm having problems accessing the computer on the network.
Is it possible for me to manually direct traffic using Route Table, and if so, how?
Here is a print of my IPCONFIG and ROUTE TABLE. The operating system is in Norwegian, but it should be self explanatory, let me know if some translations are needed.
The Telenor network is the slow connection which I DON'T want to use Internet.
The Get network is the fast connection which I do want to use.

This issues should be easily resolved by simply removing the default gateway on "Telenor" interface. At the moment, you have the network card set to DHCP. If you can assign it an IP manually with these settings, your problem should be resolved.
IP: 192.168.1.189
SM: 255.255.255.0
DG: (NONE)
DNS: 192.168.1.1
This configuration will remove the entry in the routing table: 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.189

You will not be able to manually remove this entry since it is put there by the system because you have a DG defined on the adapter. You stated: "I have also tried setting a static IP without a Gateway, but Windows seem to really dislike
this and I'm having problems accessing the computer on the network." From a networking perspective, this will not prevent your computer from accessing systems on the 192.168.1.x network. Worst case scenario, if you were facing a name resolution
problem, you can always add an entry to the HOSTS file to solve that.
If Windows does NOT have the option to send packets to this gateway, it cannot use it for internet connectivity. Windows will be forced to use the GET interface for internet traffic.

If you want to use both connections at same time, you can use OCTOPUS+ (http://www.octopusplus.com). This will help you with utilizing both connections
