Two Active Network Connections Problem
Hi all, I'm connected to a LAN with domain and a broadband internet connection at my work and one of our PCs with Windows Vista Ultimate also is connected to a GPRS private network, the reason of this is because weuse a software to collect data from a deviceconnected to this private network as well, now the problem is when I'm connected to this GPRS networki can't go to the Internet, its look like the explorer and other softwares like ftp clients go through the Dial-up connection and notto the LAN, please there is any option to solve this problem? if yes, how to do that? Thanks in advance Hernan

Hi Hernan, Maybe the Default Gateway is changed to the gateway for the GPRS private network when you connect to it. Regarding Default Gateway in Windows Vista, the following article can be referred. Default Gateway Configuration for Multihomed Computers http://support.microsoft.com/kb/157025 The IP routing table: TCP/IP http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc779122.aspx To resolve this issue, we need to configure the connection of the GPRS private network to not manually assign IP address. Then click Advanced, and make sure that no Default Gateway is set. If the issue still occurs, please launch "cmd" in Start Search box, type the following command and press Enter. route print > %userprofile%\desktop\route.txt Open the file route.txt on Desktop, and paste the contents of the route table in your post for our reference.
