Hi,Check if there is any installation traces of the firewall in the program files and also check in the add or remove programs. If the issue still exists I would ask you to check with Internet Protection support for assistance.Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards:Shekhar S - Microsoft Support. Still blocking internet access Some malwares have the capability of enabling the proxy settings in Internet Explorer which blocks the ability to browse. if the firewall had any standards, then it likely installed itself as a service click on start > run > msconfig then under the services tab check the hide microsoft services box and the revised listing produced should reflect all second and third party services. see if that unwanted firewall has a service listed. if so, then disable it, click apply and reboot. -- db`...><)))> ."Oldpunker" wrote in message news:bb8c7773-09ad-47ee-9b89-58e49ecb7a4a...I got rid of Personal Internet Protection 2011 with malwarebytes, but the firewall is still blocking internet access with only one user in an XP environment.
