Trying to set up a wireless ad hoc between vista laptop and xp laptop?????
I have a Vista laptop and the girlfriend has a XP laptop. I have been trying on my own for sometime now to get them to be able to share files ad hoc wirelessly. Im using the Vista as the main computer. I have successfully connected both laptop and the signal strength is excellent. The problem is I am unable to view any of the files that are stored on either computer. I have enabled ISC on the Vista, disabled the firewalls on both laptops. Enabled all the share files share printers etc. in the networking and sharing centre. Trouble is I still dont know what else can be done. Is there anyone that can solve this easily. Starting to think that there is a compatibilty issue with Vista, I could be wrong. Thanks in advance. Peter.
