Trying to install: WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325- usa__but I found out that I also need this, but it gives me error code 1706: NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86
Hello, I have Windows Media Center, and I'm tying to get the Roll-up 2 so I can connect my computer to my xbox, but to do this I need: WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa but this won't install. I think the problem is that I don't have this: NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86But when I try to install that, I get the error code 1706 And yes, I have checked the solution to this on the support website, and it says to install the Net 1.1 sp1 which like I said, will not install I have checked updates in my add & remove programs, and I do not have 1.1 Hotfix (but take note I do have two 1.0 hotfixes) which is something that my computer can not have on it to be able to install Net 1.1 sp1So yeah, I've been trying to call microsoft for some time now, but can't get to a person, and the machine can't help. I have also tried the Fix-it program. So yeah, I could really use some help, I've been trying to figure this out for some time now. Thank you.P.S. Don't copy and paste this, this is what I have been trying to do... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900325 Edit: I have done a search under all Files and Folders, and My computer has found no netfx.msi( I have also tried to run it) which is the where I think my computer wanted Net 1.1 sp1 to be installed...
