Trying to defragment my hard drive C:
I am unable to defrag my hard drive. I keep getting the following error message...DSK2_VOL1 (C:) has been aborted due to inconsistancies that were detected in the file system. Please run CHKDSK or SCANDISK on DSK2_VOL1 (C:) to repair these inconsistancies, then run Disk Defragmenter again.I run CHKDSK, which completes, but still keep getting this same error message when I repeat the defragmentation.Can anyone help?1 person needs an answerI do too

Cannot lock current drive. Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)Type YReboot your computer and let chkdsk run to completion.When Windows starts after chkdsk completes, start the Event Viewer (Start > Run > eventvwr > OK)Click on "Application" in the left pane, and look for an entry in the right pane with the "Description" Winlogon. Double-click that entry to see the chkdsk results. Click the "copy" icon (just below the up/down arrows) and then paste the chkdsk log into your response here.
