Trying to decrypt Bitlocker Encrypted drive - The Parameter is incorrect
I encrypted an external drive using BitLocker. I can unlock it fine using a password. However, it ends there. When trying to open the drive to view/access the files, a message window pops up: "You need to format the disk in drive G: before you can use it > Do you want to format it?" No. I have data on it that I need to recover. "Cancel" Error pops up "Not a recognizable file system" I then went to decrypt the drive through Control Panel > BitLocker Drive Encryption > Turn Off BitLocker. "Your drive will be decrypted. This may take considerable time..." Decrypt Drive / Cancel Pressing Decrypt Drive gives the following error message: (Red X) The parameter is incorrect. Help? I have data I need to access on this drive.

Not sure if you solved this or not....I had the same thing happen and I just solved it. I opened command prompt as administrator and ran a chkdsk on te drive with /f/r parameters. It took about 5 hours to finish, but I can access my drive now and I'm currently in the process of decrypting it

@amp746 Always start a new thread for your own question. If you post it into another persons thread then it could simply get lost and never answered, and it's also a problem for helpers because it causes confusion about who's answering what persons question. It's called "Thread Hijacking" and is frowned upon, so please repost this as it's own question. Click "Ask a question" button, near top left of this forum main page. Also NEVER EVER post your email address in a public forum post!!!
