Truncated data from ipconfig
I've been trying to respond to a question in the XP Answers forum (the OP belatedly changed his mind and revealed that he was using Win 7 and not XP), and I asked the OP to post the results of ipconfig. Much of the data appears to be truncated (see below). In fact, the only thing (aside from the textual data) that looks normal is the subnet mask. Assuming that the OP didn't edit the data, I've never come across this. Any clues? Hi, Based on my research, IPConfig displays the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway for adapter bound to TCP/IP. So I suspect this is related to the wireless adapter itself. I would suggest try the following steps to check the result: 1. Scan computer fully as you recommended. 2. Reinstall the wireless adapter driver. 3. Perform the following steps to see what the result is: Please backup your registry first. 1) Go to the Registry to the following location and removed Config Key : HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network 2) After that, try to reset the TCP/IP stack by running the following command : netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt. 3) Reboot and check the output. Thanks for the suggestions ... we'll see whether the OP responds and if so, with what results.
