Trouble with installation of Windows 8 with VMware 9.0

When I start the installation of Windows 8 on a new virtual machine with VMware 9.0.

Here is the message:

Your PC needs to restart.
Please hold down the power button.

Can someone can help me?

I had not seen that article, but I'm assuming this is the bit that will fix it.

"Ensure that the hardware compatibility is set to Workstation 9.0. "

Based on my understanding, the error message might be related to the hardware. If the method doesn't help, as it is a VMware virtual machine, please contact VMware support for further investigation:

Look at the following web link, it shown that you can override this issue when you install Windows 8 on VMware server.
