Trouble with blue screen
I recently got a new laptop with windows 7 64-bit home premium. The system is not even 2 months old and it has had 4 cases of blue screen. I have no idea why this is happening but the majority of the time it happens when I am sleeping. I close the computer and it goes into hibernation mode. The next morning when I wake up and power on the machine it says windows has suffered an unexpected error and was forced to shut down due to a blue screen. I have only seen it actually happen once but I figured that it wasn't a big deal so I let it go, but going on 4 now! I think thats a bit much for a new machine. If anyone can help that would be great.

You should contact the manufacturer of the computer. Since the laptop is only a 2 months old, it's under warranty and the manufacture's Customer Service Department should be able to help you. If you don't get any satisfaction from the Customer Service Department then take it back to the store and either demand a refund or an exchange for a new laptop. Click Start=>type event in the search box, select Event Viewer from the program results. When it opens, wait for it to populate. Then, in the Administrative Summary, click on the + next to critical and read the events. Post your findings here. That should provide a clue to the cause.

Hi, Please understand that to solid troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump and analyze the related source code if needed. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. I'd like to recommend that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for regional support phone numbers Good luck.
