Trouble with Reminders
When working with Apps on the metro screen, my users are not receiving reminder pop-ups from Outlook or any other desktop programs. This is starting to cause issues for my users and they are blaming IT for missing appointments. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi,

For other desktop programs, I have no idea, but for Outlook, I considered if your users configure some rules to redirect email to certain folders.

In my environment, if there is no rule can work on the receiving email, I can receive the reminder, but for ruled email, there is no reminder.

You can try to configure to set Desktop as main sight instead of start screen to see if it can work:

No, this is not possible as this is a different environment, so the only solution is using a sound alert which you can hear despite being in the desktop.

If you can get a second screen, that might be handy to put your desktop on while keeping the Modern UI on the other. Which solves your problem altogether if you can afford it.

Perfect! I wasn't sure if you could put the 2 different environments (modern UI and Desktop) on the 2 screens at the same time. We have monitors on order, and this will help my users!
