I listen to lecture podcasts on Windows Media Player and like to speed up the lectures.  In Windows 7, I was able to speed up the playback by right-clicking and selecting "Enhancements" then change playback speeds or something like that.  Since I got Windows 8.1, the new version of Windows Media Player 12 does not show an Enhancements option when you right-click.  I was wondering if there is some other way to speed up the playback of the videos in the player?

Do you mean the play speed setting?  Does this issue occur to all videos?

I check my Windows 8.1 and I can find the same option of playing speed configuration:

Or you can use the following shortcuts to see if they work:

Use a fast play speed        Ctrl+Shift+G

Play at normal speed          Ctrl+Shift+N

Use a slow play speed        Ctrl+Shift+S
