Trouble Opening Vista Machine from XP Machines
Hi. I have a wired network with three XP machines, and one Vista Machine. All the machines see each other, and were able to access each other's files. Today, we encountered an issue printing to the printer shared by the vista machine. When we tried to open the vista machine in Network Neighborhood, it said the vista machine was not accessable, and that it might not have permission to use that network resource. The vista machine easily connects to all the xp machine's shared files, and can see it's own shared files under network. The workgroups are the same on all machines. I have password protected sharing set to "off"in the network and sharing center, file sharing "on" and printer sharing "on". Can someone please offer some advice? Thanks, Mike

Found the issue. McAfee Antivirus made a change to the trusted IP addresses on the network. The new addresses were exactly the same, but it wasn't until I clicked the old ip addresses as trusted did it begin to work again.
