Trouble Changing My Logon Option so that my Computer is Password Protected
I changed my logon option under the User Accounts Section making the administrative account (the only user account on the computer) require a password before logging on. However, when I turn my computer on it simply opens up everything on the computer without requesting my password. I have turned off the Welcome Screen option under User Accounts/logon options, and have turned off the computer, logging off before I do, but when computer comes back on, it does not ask for any password and simply logs on automatically. What am I doing wrong?1 person needs an answerI do too

First, create a password reset disk so that you can log in if something goes wrong. To configure Windows XP to require a password: 1. Click Start > Run . 2. Type control userpasswords2 in the box and click OK . 3. Put a check mark in the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box. 4. Click OK .Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
