Too many popup confirmations in vista
When trying to move or delete a file in vista the user is asked to confirm, then another popup shows up asking the user to confirm again, then yet another popup shows up indicating that the program requested (in this case file manager) has been activated. If you are trying to work with several files at once this 3 step process for deleting, moving, or copying a file is repeated for every single file!
Can this feature be disabled and how do it disable it? I have tried to remove all of the default security permissions on every file on my machine but that does not resolve this issue.

It's as I said the Security Icon doesn't go away - just sit's there in the system tray. I have disabled UAC you see and also changed the settings so that I should not recieve any further notifications from the security center. If there is any thing more I should have done please tell me :)

If I am not mistaken you can tell it to not warn you anymore.

You can try to stop the security service, haven't tried myself but that was the way to disable it in XP Pro

I am moving your question to the security forum, they should be able to provide more guidance.

This is a common and known "problem". MS has heard users' agony and cries. Expect to see changes that address this aspect in a future build.
