I too am having this problem and have been for quite sometime. For me, it happens on all outgoing and incoming mail and the times/dates appear wrong no matter what computer I check them from. I have found one answer that tells me to check my time zone settings under the options. I can't find this setting.

Depends on the email program as to whether there are other time settingsTime Zone;Thought about using win help?Control Panel> Date & Time Properties, or double click the clock on the Task Bar

Thanks Palcouk but it is not the time setting on my computer. That date and time is correct (the clock on the task bar). It is the time on an incoming email or my outgoing email to someone that does not have the correct time and that does not agree with the clock on my task bar. Any ideas where to go to correct?

As said, depends on what Mail application you are using. If using Outlook check under callendar settings I am having the same issue, it is not Outlook, I am accessing email through Explorer. The time that appears on my emails is 4 hours ahead of my actual time zone, Atlantic.

This happens to me as well. Appears to coincide with the time my server received the message. Look at the email properties and you'll see a pattern

I don't have a server, it is my home office computer.

I dare say that unless you host your own ISP, you download your email from their POP3 server. That is where your mail is received and stored until your email program downloads it to your PC.

I check my MSN account usually through Firefox -- sometimes IE. When I previously mentioned my time settings, I was not referring to the time setting on my computer, I know how to do that. My time in my task bar is correct. Seems that this is a common problem!

I have the same problem. My time is correct on the taskbar. Has anyone found a fix for this problem?

The time shown is being applied by the mail server in question - whether it's MSN, Yahoo!, GMail or somewhere else. If it's showing the wrong time zone for you then you should check your account settings on the server and make sure it knows what time zone you're in.-B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

This is going to sound dumb but where did you find view your account registered information.

Look in the upper right hand portion of your screen and you see your name with an arrow next to it and "sign out" beneath. Click the arrow, select "view your account". It will ask you to enter your password and your account page will appear. Select "registered information" and the Time Zone field is on the bottom half of the screen.
