This program may not have installed correctly
When installing software onto Windows 7 we see a dialog pop up that says: This program may not have installed correctly Doing some searches on the Intennet we found what we were hoping was a fix: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/windows-7-disable-this-program-might-not-have-installed-correctly/ This fix does not work. We even turned UAC off and we still see this prompt. how do you get rid of this for All Users on the machine? and is there a GPO that turns this off? Thanks.mqh7

I don't know about removing the message, but this is sort of a two fold issue, 1st is that from an application development side of things, good application companies go through alot of process and time to get thier applications "Certified for Windows 7" via the MS developer programs, Am and sure there are various voodoo like things that they roll into thier applications to function best in Windows 7 in order to get that Cert from MS. Bing! for it and there are many many articles on it and the MS site iteself. 2nd, Were I am at now, there are a bunch of old apps, needed for the business to function, and there are software companies out there that do not move very fast on product updates and fixes, there are also companies out there that believe version 1.0 of the product they bought 10 years ago works just fine and no need to upgrade. That being said, we see alot of those messages when doing server buildups and laptops, its' annoying to see but has not caused problems. I don't know of any GPO to remove this, other than to make a list of the applications that are causing this and then looking to the app vendor to update thier app, so software writers don't move unless pushed. If your writing and publishing your own application you may want to look at these two links for insight. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowscompatibility/thread/7d585c05-0b61-45e7-b554-740382ffb7cc/ http://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-189007.html :P Advice offered, If you need more help it is advised to seek the council and advice of paid professionals. The answer is always 42, or reboot.
