This Forum Survey Pop-Ups
When visiting this forum, over time, I've gotten a Survey pop-up that occurs at least in 1 of 3 visits. I have answerd the survey's questions a number of times. The other options are to select No or X. If you don't select 1 of these 3 options, you can not see the forum because of the Survey Pop-Up. Today I selected no, and it came back within 1 minute so I selected yes and got the message: "Thank you for your interest in this survey. We apologize, but we have already received the required number of responses for this study." This is highly invasive and offensive and worse; it is an ERROR to request user feed-back when it is not required. I have never seen this sort of interference in Mac forums or anywhere else. Whoever is in charge of contracting out the Survey interface needs to get this fixed.

Visual Proof added from Google Chrome wherein the Pop-Up is not so large as to nearly completely block view of Forum entries. Despite browser settings to block them, Pop-Ups occur in all Windows 7 browsers whether signed in or not, and also Safari in Mac Lion OS.

Maybe, a better place to discuss this issue would be http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/threads. If you think of it, it's not exactly a Windows 7 but a forums' problem.Understanding Windows is like understanding women.

. . . . I have never seen this sort of interference in Mac forums or anywhere else. Whoever is in charge of contracting out the Survey interface needs to get this fixed. That is becasue Apple does not care nor tries to get input from visitors.

Finding my - This Forum Survey PopUp - entry made yesterday was gone. Google found it here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/458166d9-1d26-45de-9122-3259272b98c3 And strangely, also here: http://www.networksteve.com/windows/topic.php/This_Forum_Survey_Pop-Ups/?TopicId=50186&Posts=1 Where the pop-up picture was removed Checking "networksteve.com" shows: an untrusted certificate authority was detected while processing the domain _____________________________________ The tracker http://www.microsoft.com/library/svy/sto/SiteRecruit_Tracker.htm?otherCookies=&site=1208&projectId=p77737117&referrer=&location=http%253A//social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/458166d9-1d26-45de-9122-3259272b98c3&weight=100&frequency=0.17&version=4.6.3&l=9Search.MSForums.Iroot=windows&wtsp=&DCSext.Product=&null&null&surveyUrl=http%3A//survey2.surveysite.com/wix/p77737117.aspx&cookieName=msresearch&cookiePath=/&cookieDomain=.microsoft.com&cookieDuration=90&cookieDate=&trackerPageConfigUrl=http%3A//js.microsoft.com/library/svy/sto/trackerConfig_TN-p77737117-SC.js&userid=13292110872672905085506095587&surveys=p77737117&vendorid=1 Which leads to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1310&ws=1prcen for opt-out of surveys? And this does not allow a survey opt out in my case. For the fun of it, I am adding picture of Internet Explorer Pop-Up Blocker site where I got a TechNet survey Pop-Up. _________________________________________________________

Hoping for an honest answer to a simple question despite my redirection here, and no more unmitigated insults from such as Garby, an insult to what Microsoft represents World Wide, I give up on this quest for an answer. Hey Garby, your response must be the answer to my question. Garbage it is as you are. Keep up the good work. I expect there are others who will put you where you belong.

Next time, if you are going to insult me, try and get my user name right. Sorta makes your response a moot point when you cant copy and paste a block of text that displays a name correctly.
