There are other users logged on to your system, do you still wish to shutdown?
Hello thereI have been using Microsoft operating systems since MSDos and have never encountered a problem like this. I have Windows XP on one of my systems - all other PCs in my family have Windows 7 installed on them. When I shud down my Windows XP system I get the message 'There are other user logged on to your system, do you still wish to shutdown?'. I installed all the Windows 7 systems on all the systems in the family and the Windows XP Professional I am writing about. There is only one account on this Windows XP system and none other were created. The security software I am running is Microsoft Security Essentials. I do not let anybody use my system or never have so what does the above messge mean. Has there been a security breach? I do not know. Please help. Thanking you.Kind regardsMr. V. It is possible that one of your machines connected to a network share of this machine. The next time this happens, Right-click on "My computer" then -> "Manage" -> System Tools -> Shared Folders -> Sessions. See if any sessions show up on this screen.HTH, JW
