The reliability and performance monitor is not recognizing my anti-virus and anti-spyware windows defender is installed on Windows Vista SP2 System The reliability and performance monitor is not recognizing my anti-virus and anti-spyware windows defender is installed on Windows Vista SP2 System. Please reference the following from the log: Symptom: The Security Center has not recorded an anti-virus product. Cause: The Security Center is unable to identify an active anti-virus application. Either there is no anti-virus product installed or it is not recognized. Resolution: 1. Verify that an anti-virus product is installed. 2. If an anti-virus product is installed and functioning configure Security Center to stop monitoring anti-virus status. Anti-Spyware Information nbsp; Query Query Result root\SecurityCenter:SELECT * FROM AntiSpywareProduct The Security Center reports that there is no anti-spyware product actively protecting this system. The Security Center has reported that on-access spyware scanning is disabled. Either on-access scanning is disabled, or the anti-spyware application is not recognized. 1. Verify that an anti-spyware product is installed. 2. If an anti-spyware product is installed and functioning configure Security Center to stop monitoring anti-spyware status. Red flag here The NIS And Windows Defender Is Installed. It is only when I go into Windows Vista SP 2 -Performance Info & Tools- Advanced tools and run Resource and Performance monitor system diagnostics that I get the message saying the security centre has not recorded an anti-virus and anti-spyware product . I would like get it right. Please help.
