The mouse pointer is not color managed. Even in Windows 8.1. Who thought this was a good idea? [EOM]

Hi,

Sorry about that, I figured it'd be obvious. Here's some more details on this:

http://superuser.com/questions/915073/how-can-i-make-the-mouse-cursor-render-with-software-instead-of-hardware

If you put something like: Windows mouse pointer color managed

Into any search engine, you'll find hundreds of results complaining about this. There's a workaround to this by forcing software rendering of the pointer by enabling mouse trails - but those, as well as software rendering in general - are undesirable for their own reasons. I'm hoping there's some solution to get the mouse pointer actually color managed.

And why do people running Windows 8.1 post in a Windows 7 operating system forum?

Do people running Windows 8.1 have a problem reading forum titles?

Post your question in the Windows 8 IT Pro Category forums!
