The link partner is not capable of higher speeds?
I'm wondering what this means. I have 8 windows 7 connected to a gigabit switch. Most of them are able to transfer files at 100Mbps, only 2 that are stuck at 10. In the Speed and Duplex option, there is 1.0Gbps Full Duplex I can choose. But choosing it kills my network connection When I run test in the lan card's diagnostic, it tells me- The link partner is not capable of higher speeds. What does that mean? Is it the fault of the machine or the switch? I've tried cat5E and cat6 cord still the same result

Hi, Please update your network adapter driver and BIOS from the manufacture. If any security software or firewall is running, temporary disable them. If the issue persists, perform a clean boot and run the following commands to check the result. netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled Best Regards, NikiPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
