Hi, Method 1.Since the issue started occurring recently you can restore the computer to a previous state.Refer:How to restore Windows XP to a previous statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084Method 2.I found most of this error message occurs on Toshiba computers. If you have a Toshiba refer to the threads below on Toshiba forums.http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Drivers-and-Utilities/boot-start-or-system-start-driver-s-failed-to-load-atapi-pciide/m-p/49919 http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=157129 Method 3.Also I would suggest you to update the chipset drivers and check. You may contact the computer manufacturer for the drivers.Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards:Shekhar S - Microsoft Support. Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
