Hi Judy,1. When exactly do you get the error message?2. Did you make any changes prior to the issue? It looks like some non Microsoft program is causing this error. We recommend you to check which program is causing this issue and remove it.a. See How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" stateb. If you don't see the error message, then from the article, follow Method 1 and Method 2 to find out if any program is causing the issue.c. Once you've found the culprit i.e. the program that's causing the issue, then uninstall it or reinstall it once again to fix the errors.Note: From the article do not forget to follow "Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state"Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

Sounds Nortonish. Please provide additional information about your system:What is your system make and model? What is your XP Version and Service Pack?Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton , Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc. Don't guess what the problem might be - figure it out and fix it.
