The Requested Operation Requires Elevation
I'm locked out of everything important in my work laptop. Every time I try to make a change to anything with the system (I'm currently trying to connect to my work network) it asks for username and password, I enter them and it gives the me error message, "the requested operation requires elevation". I am the only user on the laptop and have admin access. I know the password is correct because it lets me login at startup with it.

Hi, I would like to verify if you logon with local account or domain account. Is the computer in domain? The system changes will be blocked by User Account control (UAC). User Account Control helps protect systems by requiring programs to run with a standard account even though a user is logged on as an administrator. Please logon with local admin and disable UAC temporarily for a test. How do I change the behavior of User Account Control by using the slider? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-change-the-behavior-of-User-Account-Control-by-using-the-slider Niki Han TechNet Community Support
