The Remote Machine shows small icons and distorted display. I am Running Windows 8.1 on Mac through Boot Camp partition.  I purchased the Mac and also the Windows a few weeks ago and checked the drivers and all of them are updated.

Everything is working fine in Windows 7 on my another machine

Please help. This is making me regret I bought the new Windows 8.1

I think this is normal since Windows 8.1 use large resolution

did you set a scaling option in the resolution settings?

did you lower down your Windows 8.1 resolution before remote other machine?

you can also play with mstsc.exe to setup customize screen resolution based on user

if didn't work i suggest you reinstall your graphic driver to test
