I have two network drives setup between my Windows XP Pro and my Windows XP Home. I have also setup a shared printer to my XP Pro. When the ethernet adapter (connected to router) is connected to the XP Pro, the files open perfectly on the other XP Home. My wireless adapter provides my internet and email perfectly without the ethernet. When I disconnect the ethernet, the network drive cannot be connected and appears with an error message, "An error occurred while reconnecting (drive letter) to\\server\folder Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored". I checked My Computer, and there is absolutely no drive letter the same as the one I'm trying to use. I can't change the letter of the network drive or otherwise my 100 and something hyperlinks won't work. I down't want to have to connect the ethernet adapter when I want to file share.Thanks in advance,Cooper Beutel1 person needs an answerI do too
