The BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool failed to export the BCD (Boot Configuration Data) Store.
I'm trying to get BitLocker started on a VAIO SZ6, Vista Ultimate SP1.Regardless wether I manually create a primary partition and use the command lineBdeHdCfg.exe -target S: mergeor if I "start from scratch" with the GUI version I get the message:The BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool failed to export the BCD (Boot Configuration Data) Store. You may need to manually prepare your drive for BitLocker.bcdedit.exe reports a setup that looks very healthy healty indeed. The GUI Drive Preparation leaves med with a primary partition "S:".I have searched high and low and can not fin ansewers to either questions:1. Is there a fix for this?2. If not, how would I "manuall prepare my drive"?3. Could this have anything to to with the VAIO System Resore partition (9 GB they put as partition 0). Anyone knows how to wipe it?TIA,/Dany

Hi Dany, I suggest you first check if the drive is active under Disk Management: 1. Right click on Computer and choose Manage. 2. Under Disk Management, please check if the target drive is active. 3. If not, please right click on it and choose "Mark as Active".
