I was having a problem with the MMC program, if this has been discussed I apologize, I did a search for MMC and did not find anything related to my problem. I right click "my computer" left manage I expand the "event viewer I go into "windows logs" open "applications" open a log that has an error, then I close it. I repeat this in the system logs, after I close the logs and try to close MMC it kicks back a msg that I need to close all diag boxes to exit MMC. Nothing is opened, I have to go into taskmgr to kill the process.

Use the left arrow at the top left to navigate back to the main list. However you are doing it, it is not closing or leaving the log. It is not as staightforward as windows. It's a console.
