I've cleared it, it shows nothing in the folder but the size still say its over 8 gbs with over 3000 filesin the folder properties. I've done disk clean up as well and nothing changes.What gives? I need to clear it because it's left me with very little HD space.Win 7 Ultimate-32bit, IE8

Hilog on as admin in safe mode and then have a look in the folder. You may need to take control of it in security settings. Make sure you have show hidden files enabled and hide protected system files disabled in folder view and you may see that its still full of rubbish. There will also be an index.dat file that still contains all the temp files even if you have cleared them. You can delete the index.dat file as when you log back into internet explorer it will create a new empty one of about 32k. This as been a problem with windows since xp in that clearing the temp internet files does not reset the index.dat file. It just keeps getting bigger.all the best malc
