Telnet Server fails to initialize
Telnet server fails to start from the command line or the services list. Here is the entry from the event log. I've tried stopping Windows Firewall, but did not help.

1. Start running Process Monitor before enabling Telnet server.
2. Are there any traces in Event Viewer logs?

Hi ,
Have you tried to use the Windows Features tool to install optional components? If not, please take the following steps.
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. On the Control Panel Home page, click Programs.
3. Under the section titled Programs and Features, click Turn Windows features on or off.
4. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.
5. In the Windows Features list, select Telnet Server, and then click OK.

Hi there,
I did both suggestions (Milos and Tracis's) and I guess the only thing missing was to reboot my machine. Now Telnet server starts just fine.
Thank you.
