Telephony service failure
First I'm running Vista Ultimate. Second I'm trying to install a Verizon wireless card. I am getting an Event ID of 7000 with the following "The telephony service failed to start due to the following error: A Privilege that the service requires to function properly does not exsist in the service account configureation." Then it tells me to use the service.msc and secpol.msc to configure the the service. How do I fix this so a Broadband Access card will work I can't seem to find how or where to enable this. I think it might have something to do when I changed the network settings to be on a domain insted of a workgroup. any help or ideas would be greatflly appreciated Thanks dave

What was interferring was the network profiling service. Ihad to notinclude the laptop into our domain.(network settings workgroup or domain) Once I put it into the domain all telephonic services were cut off and no matterif I set up a remote profile before bring the laptop into the domain or afterwards I lost all modem services. Since this was for a remote user and being on the domain was not critical that was my work around. MS Tech support was of no help unless i wanted to pay for it. I still have not found a solution. What bugs me is why cut modem and telephonic services off just because you bring a laptop into a network domain?
