TelephonyMode vs OCTelephonyMode

Does anyone know the difference between these 2 registry keys?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator
TelephonyMode

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Communicator
OCTelephonyMode

We used to have Office Communicator installed, so I assume that this is the "OC' in "OCTelephonyMode".  And I know we set "TelephonyMode" in a GPO.

Does one key have precedence over the other?  It seems that the value of "OCTelephonyMode"  is reset after restarting the Lync 2010 client.

Thanks

Lync 2010 will use inband provisioning for the telephony mode from the Lync server. If the lync client log on to the FE he will get the configured telephonymode from the Lync server.

OCT telephony mode is where you get to control the Telephone mode within communications server where you want the client to have Enterprise Voice, RCC or P2P. Like Holger said, this will be controlled by the settings that you configure in Lync server against the user. Lync server will get the precedence if the values does not match.
