TcpAckFrequency
Is the TcpAckFrequency working in Windows 7 cause I have Add the need registry keys and install MSMQ in Window7 and don't think it is working HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces Dwords TcpAckFrequency=1 TCPNoDelay=1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters Dword TCPNoDelay=1 I went back XP which just has the TcpAckFrequency=1 setting and there huge difference between how Online games run compared to Win7 so obviosly this tweak is not working in Win7

I believe TcpAckFrequency or the equivalent value is set to 1 by default in Windows 7. -Nick

Tweaks won't necessarily work the same in Windows 7, as for one thing, Windows XP will work fine with graphics cards that are not good enough for Windows 7. What do you have for a system? Can you post your specifications please?

If anyone runs across this now, I want to add that in World of Warcraft the above registry changes lowered my latency by roughly 70%. As it did in XP and Vista.

Hello guys,TcpAckfrequency works on windows 7 indeed and if your looking for better latency i would recommend (if you know what ur doing) add several reg entries in AFD\TCPIP key and then just let it fly like me hehe...if anyone needs settings(optimal) for those lemme know then i post mine here !Oh btw changing DNSQueryTimeouts for higher values makes it incredibly faster and i really believe that is an effective way to prevent some Dns attacks in some range...Best regards,RR
