Task scheduler not start
Hai everbody, I am unable to start task scheduler in my desktop pc. When I click Start-Accessories-Systemtools-Task scheduler, it will displays message that says remote computer was not found. What's ____ was this ?. Actually i try to defragment my drives, when i try that it will displays message that the task scheduler service is not running. So i click task manager-services-task scheduler (that service shows as disabled-i try to start it but it will not gives me the start option.) I use Windows 7 RTM on my Acer aspire series desktop-Dual Core 3.0 Ghz,1 GB Ram, Intel 82945g Chipset express board. And another thing is microsoft updates are not installed, its failed and gives error code 80246008. What's the problem ?.

Hi, Regarding the Task Scheduler Service, I suggest you perform the following steps. 1. Assure the Windows Event Log service is started. 2. Perform a Clean Boot and verify the problematic service again. 3. If the service still cannot be started, please copy the following registry on another machine which Task Scheduler Service is running fine, and then import the key on the local machine. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Schedule What's the result? Thanks, Novak
