Start everything on system startup (not login)

Sorry but you are posting in the admin scripting forum.  This is not general help for how to use Windows Task Scheduler.  Please post in the Windows Forum for your version of the OS.

You could also post int eh WinAmp support forum since that is the product you are trying to control.

Keep in mind that GUI tools will not run at startup because there is no logged in account.  You would need too address that and whether the tool can run "headless".  I doubt that Winamp can so post in winamp forum.

I actually didn't mean to post in the windows 8 forums. I apologize. I don't see a way to move the thread except to repost it.

The shoutcast and winamp forums are on the same forum and this is a repost of what I had there.

I am sorry but winamp is not a Microsoft product and is not supported by MS forums.  If you need help with defining a task then this forum can help but you will need to tell us what it is that is not happening with the task.  The functionality of the program will have to be verified in the winamp forum.

Use task history to check to see if the task has run without issue.

I am still pretty sure that winamp will not run headless.

Here is how to install shouotcast as a service.  Read carefully and you will find that you do not need to run anything as a task.  The service will run always.

Hi iburnthings,

How did you configure the task schedule from the UI(User Interface) or command line ?

Have you configured the triggers as "At Startup" ?

Please also navigate to the task and check the history for more information to troubleshoot this issue .

Best regards
