You may continue editing the task object, but will be unable to change task account information") SchedLgU.Txt says "The attempt to retrieve account information for the specified task failed; therefore, the task did not run. Although the search for "0x80004005 task scheduler" (and other error related terms) yields results they were either solved by the steps above, or refer to an unavailable software ("SysTaskFix.exe") or are for non-XP systems. RPC is running (Task Scheduler is dependent on the RPC service =Remote Procedure call). The whole thing happened from one day to another. Everything else works. ARGH! HELP!!
