Task Manager opens over 100 times at startup
Laptop, Windows XP. Out of the blue without installing any new programs on computer Task Manager opens over 100 times at startup. Last count was 153 times.I can close them one by one afterwards without them reopening. There are no unusual amounts of Processes running. Only one explore.exe and of course all the task managers.I ran malwarebytes, I have Norton 360 (current) and can't figure out what is happening.Anyone have any suggestions???Liz Dalia1 person needs an answerI do too

Can you run GMER and RkUnHooker, and post log of RkUnhooker. By the way, task manager is one of the preferred way to enter into your computer when kernel has just booted, but antivrus has not yet loaded. This indicates that you may want to check *.sys files in Windows\System32\drivers folder. You can use MD5summer to make MD5 sum and check against internet database for spurious file.
