Task Manager damaged or corrupted
I am trying to schedule SpyBot I have read many forum answers, but I do not get very far. When I try to navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache I am told that the path does not exist. I do not know which file or file type. Where would this file or task be exported? I thought "export" meant to send file to another computer. Quite frankly, I am lost. I find that with "Windows Help and Support," a very basic question is not understood. I waste alot of time rephrasing my question multiple times trying to come up with the "lingo" that will render a solution. I have a list backing this up. Perhaps Microsoft would consider bringing together professionals and those of us who are not in order to provide better assistance. I would be more than willing to work on this with Microsoft. Thanks a bunch!

Hi cat.collector, How did you schedule SpyBot? How did you know your Task Manager got corrupted? Did you mean Task Scheduler? Did you receive any error when start Task Scheduler? I suggest you check the system file, run cmd as administrator, then input the command sfc /scannow Regards, Miya This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
