Taking a computer off a server or network
This computer was originally part of a company server, but had troubleshooting problems, and after several IT appointments, it was decided to take the just buy a new computer for the company, and use this computer for a personal computer. However, now that it is physically off the server (no network/server cables), how do I get it from still trying to connect to the network? Mainly, the problem is that in order to log in, I need the company usernames and the old passwords that were current when the computer was still on the server. Basically, how do I make this an independent computer again? Thanks!1 person needs an answerI do too

Do you have the local administrator password? If not, the easiest thing to do would be to just reinstall the OS from scratch. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

I can reinstall the OS, but if I have the password, is that easier?
