TUN/TAP driver from Microsoft
Dear Windows Developers,
has Microsoft any plans on creating virtual network devices? I'd like to see virtual network adapters in Windows 7.
Best regards,

Hi,
This needs additional application to support this. For instance, Virtual Machine software.

Thank you for the reply. Of course, you are right, a TUN/TAP interface is only a 'front-end' part of any network configuration. Personally, I met the situations, where the 'back-ends' were a SOCKS 5 server, some SSH and even DNS tunnel (the later in an intranet
testing lab).
A pair of TUN/TAP interface and SOCKS 5 server would be a nice network solution for the Windows OS as a further development of what that has been offered in 'netsh winhttp' command.
