TLS Authentication with Vista
Hello, I am trying to authenticate windows Vista via 802.1x authentication using TLS, over wired ethernet connections using ProCurve switches to a windows 2003 EE PDC/RADIUS server. Non-Vista clients are able to join the domain, and request a certificate via http://<IP of PDC>/certsrv, but using Vista clients, the activeX api hangs and does not continue, even if I override security controls and allow ActiveX plugs. I then tried to import the users certificate manually, which was successful, but when I turn on TLS authentication, I get a bubble that states the certificate cannot be found. In previous released, i.e., XP, you could select the certificate to authenticate with, but not with Vista. PEAP MS-Chap-v2 secured password does authenticate properly, so I know it's a certificate issue. Can anyone suggest what steps I need to follow to get this working properly?
