System shuts down onexpectedly.
Hi, i am having a challenge with my TX2000 laptop. It has started shutting down after some hours and the event properties will show this message : The system was shut down due to a critical thermal event. shut down time = 2011-05-04T08:17:33 ACPI\ThermalZone\THRM_CRT =368K. Please help me on what to do. I appreciate.

Not a Windows problem. The machine's overheating - use some canned air to blow the dust out of the vents and/or replace the CPU cooling fan if needed. Contact the machine's manufacturer for more information.

Hi, Since the event log says “The system was shut down due to a critical thermal event.” I suggest you to upgrade BIOS first , check the CPU CP Temperature in BIOS · How to Check the CPU Temperature in BIOS · http://www.ehow.com/how_6826456_check-cpu-temperature-bios.html I also recommend that you could install a piece of software that reads the temperature of your computer(CPU, memory, north bridge ,etc ). Check the temperature for your computer, if temperature is exorbitant, you can contact the manufacturer to overhaul the computer.
