System restore not working: Windows XP
"System Restore did not initialize because windows is shutting down".This message prevents me from using system restore no matter what previous date I choose. Restore fails every time.Window shutsdown too soon. What can I do to prevent this?1 person needs an answerI do too

Try booting to Safe Mode (tap the F8 key as the computer boots up) and run System Restore from within Safe Mode.HTH, JW
