Hi, Did you install any antivirus program on your Windows 7? Please remove these program and temporally disable firewall. If the issue persists, try to logon with Safe Mode and perform the system restore for test. Hope that helps. Hi, Please check Volume shadow copy service and COM+ System Application are automatic started. And run System File checker: SFC /Scannow to check if system file has corrupted. Volume copy shadow and COM+ system application are started (by itself) and set to manual (by itself) . I have a copy of this operating system in vmware ... System restore is fine there and Volume copy shadow and COM+ system application are also started (by itself) and set to manual there (by itself) . I run SFC /Scannow . no errors.

Also when looking in the event manager it says "the restore point was either deleted or corrupted during restore". I have a new hard disk . There is another error in the computer that might be connected ... When i insert a usb disk on key (san disk u3 has a virtual cd drive) the computer puts out a message that a network drive with the same letter must be disconnected first. I have never had any network drives ... and there is no conflicts in the disk management. When i disconnect other usb hard disks the problem is solved .
